Our computer is 10 years old and had an issue with not turning on. I contacted RD3 Tech and Tom fitted me in within a day. It needed the dust cleaned out of the bottom of the black box. I did not know there was an air vent on the bottom of the box.

However, Tom also did an analysis of the computer and it had issues. Well, they soon turned into my nightmare and so it was, “OK Tom, see to this,” and so he did. In a short time he arrived and, hmm, it was surely a job for the professional.

It was not long and we now have a revived computer with a black box that is not all sticky (that drove me nuts), and now I don’t have to hold my breath, cross my fingers and hope like hell this stinking computer works.

The thing that stood out for me was that Tom did not take one look at the computer and say, “Oh, it is ten years, you need a new one.” So at a very affordable cost we pretty much have a new computer.

PS, just because you vacuum around your computer every week it does not mean it will not have dust issues. So good having this dedicated business on the coast.

We asked Tom from RD3 to look into a few issues: the functionality of an old MacBook, an iMac and the security of an iCloud account.

In just an hour he had cleaned up both the iMac and MacBook, advised us to keep the MacBook, confirmed that the iCloud account was secure and discovered an issue with, and sorted out, our PoE Wi-Fi network.
